Woolrich-John Rich and Bros 2011

Woolrich John Rich & Bros gives us a quick preview of their Spring/Summer 2011 collection that will be presented at the trades this summer. These 2 new pieces (yeah more outerwear) continue in the Woolrich tradition by keeping the designs timeless. My parkas and snorkels, I'll literally have forever, and if something should happen to them..say...lost luggage, an oil stain etc., I can always get the same coat at my army/navy spot in the Bronx. The "Heritage Officer" Coat, despite it's fuzzy name (my disdain for law enforcement is well documented), is perfect for Springs in Seattle with hideaway buttons, utility hood, and a partial upper flannel lining. The second offering is the "Three Layers" Anorak. Functional, modern, yet classic at the same time. Perfect for travel because it can be folded, rolled, balled or mushed up however and still come out of your luggage looking fresh (man..i swear Maikoiyo will have this sh*t folded up into a tiny square and packed in his overnight kit...hahahaha...dead serious though!). Part "Safari hunter", part "Rain Coat". What more could you want? Simple, clean, and only comes in neutral colors for the fashionably-challenged (you don't HAVE to match everything you wear when you get dressed..let's try NOT to look like a bigass Rubix cube when you leave the house. today), besides...who can go wrong with khaki and navy? A lot of people...but I doubt they'd know where to get this kind of sh*t anyway. So..uhhh...shouts to all the outerwear hunters like us, and an extra special shout to my family DJ Alamo for the inspiration (see Brand Nubian, Grand Puba or anybody in New Rochelle in the mid 90's for that matter)! Ar(c)ive...Coming soon!
