Paulrose Products is a classic Canadian workwear label with roots starting as early as 1960.  Although the brand was abandoned in the 80's by original designer Paul Svarc, it has since been revived by his grandson, Brandon.  The Spring/Summer 2011 collection seems to have a running theme of the use of Japanese denim, however all products are produced in Canada.  Great.  Sustainability....Our kind of brand!  Since it's been documented that I only wear Levi's 501s, the jeans don't really appeal to me, nor do the Japanese denim shirts.  Don't get me wrong, I'll always keep a few vintage Polo western denim shirts in the vaults for a certain look, but to buy one that even remotely matches my jeans is a MISTAKE!  All that denim on denim??? You'll end up looking like a Yay cowboy (No shots...for the record...nothing wrong with yay cowboys..if you like that look..go for it!).   The highlight of this collection are the loopwheeled fleece sweatsuits.  Around here, we wear sweats in the Spring and Fall like its high fashion (although I strongly suggest otherwise unless you have the self-esteem to pull it off).  Most don't.  But because we do, these are worth investigating (bad choice of words).  '95 Air Maxs and you're killing them.  I prefer the heather grey styles ( the blue version reminds me of a weird denim sweatsuit).  Overall though, Brandon has done an excellent job  breathing new life into this classic label , and I especially look forward to their Fall outerwear collection.  Shouts to my man Garrett Louie and the Livestock crew  in Vancouver.  Also shouts to that girl my man X  bagged on that '97 trip, for having all that fly sh*t in her house.  We STILL have absolutely no idea what you do for a living, but.....we are quick enough to figure it out!  Animal Thug!
